Wouldn't it be hilarious if there was a strain called Ke$ha? It would be the dirtiest strain... would taste like vodka and Jack, and would get you so high you might actually enjoy the music of its namesake. Come on, growers... let's get creative!
It's a Tuesday morning, and as I sit here in my child development psychology class, I can't help but wonder how the fine herb we all love so much became an integral part of my life. To be honest, I used to be against it, whole heartedly. I was sure I'd never try it, ever, less than 3 years ago. Now? I smoke almost every day. So, what was it?
Personally, I grew up with a serious predisposition towards depression. This means that yes, in eighth grade I grew my hair out long and wore all black, all the time. But in all seriousness, depression makes it difficult to enjoy the little things in life. In fact, it makes it difficult to enjoy just about anything. There are some pharmaceutical solutions like Zoloft and such, and currently those do work for me.
But the Green does something different, and something special.
It changes the way you see things.
In a way, the ganj is a lot like a pair of glasses. It helps you to see the good things in all things, and I promise you, that's more valuable than any amount of gold (Unless that gold is used to buy our favorite grass).
In short, I think weed became important to me because it helped to make me smile. Don't ever underestimate the power of a good laugh and a stupid grin. Plus, it brings people together like nothing else. Truly, it's an amazing plant.
Until later,
Stay Lifted
